Nottingham MPs feature in reshuffled Labour shadow cabinet

Nottingham East MP, Chris Leslie, has replaced Ed Balls as Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer after a reshuffle of Labour’s shadow cabinet.

Leslie retained the Nottingham East seat in a comfortable victory – increasing his majority to 11,894.

He has now taken the place of Balls, who lost his hold on Morley & Outwood to Conservative’s Andrea Jenkyns.

Harriet Harman, the acting leader of Labour following Ed Miliband’s resignation, announced the reshuffle –  which they hope will challenge the Tories in coming years.

Meanwhile, Ashfield MP retains her position as Shadow Minister for Women and Equalities.
