Nottingham is paying respect to the victims of the Barcelona terror attack with flags flying at half mast across the city.
This comes after 14 people were killed and 88 wounded after a van driver ran into pedestrians in Las Ramblas on Thursday (August 17).
Hours later, a second attack happened in the coastal town of Cambrils, 68 miles south of Barcelona, when a car was driven into pedestrians which injured seven people – Spanish police shot dead five suspects.
Nottingham City Council, Nottinghamshire County Council and Nottingham Castle are all flying their flags at half mast.
Carolyn and John Radford, the owners of Mansfield Town FC, were in Barcelona when the attack happened by Carolyn confirmed their safety on Twitter.

The leader of Nottingham City Council, Councillor Jon Collins, has condemned the attack.
He said: “This is another absolutely senseless attack targeting innocent people going about their lives in a busy city.
“Our thoughts are with all those affected.
“Nottingham stands together with the people of Barcelona.”
