Poker players battled it out in Nottingham over Sunday and Monday to win a seat worth £750,000 in a Vegas poker tournament.

The Big One for the Little One tournament took place in Alea Casino on Parliament Street and the winner is set to jet off to Las Vegas for the prestigious; Little One for the One Drop on June 30th.

The winner, still to be announced by the casino, also pocketed a £4,000 prize as well as the seat in Little One for the One Drop tournament, which is a partner competition of the World Series of Poker.

This is the first competition of it’s kind to be held in Nottingham.

The World Poker Tour and the World Series of Poker both came to Lenton’s, Dusk ‘Til Dawn Casino and Nottinghamshire is fast becoming one of the main poker locations in the UK.

Around 160 people were expected to compete, each having to fork out the £50 for the initial buy-in, but it was a small price to pay for a chance at the £4,000 jackpot, and an all expenses trip to Las Vegas for a chance to win £750,000.
