Nottingham’s ‘Green and Whites’ to play against Cornish Pirates

Nottingham Rugby Club will journey to Cornwall on Sunday to play against the Cornish Pirates in their first game of the new season in the 2015/16 Greene King IPA Championship.

The Green and Whites may be in for challenging game as the Cornish Pirates will be joined by three new squad members, including former England under 20s star Alex Day who has joined from Northampton Saints.

Ahead of Sunday’s game, Cornish Pirates’ Director of Rugby, Ian Davies, has commented:

“We feel we have had a good pre-season but ultimately it will be judged on the early season performances.

“Nottingham are consistently challengers for the end of season play-offs, so Sunday’s game will be a good litmus test for us.”

Kick-off will be at the Mennaye Field, in Penzance, at 3pm.
