Nottinghamshire record store owners explain why vinyl revival now has record sales growing faster than streaming

Vinyl sales grew at a faster rate last year than Spotify
Nottingham record shops are surfing a seemingly endless wave of popularity after it was revealed vinyl sales increased more than streaming sales in 2024.
Robs Records, Nottingham, known for its packed and messy style has been on a mission to clear it up with some customers finding the store too cramped.
However, owner Rob Smith says there has been a real revival in vinyl sales in recent years.
Mark, who owns record store Vinyl Destination also says that vinyl has been on the rise again as he says “Spotify will never overtake vinyl”.
