A Nottinghamshire Police dog and his handler have taken home silverware from national dog trials.
PC Matt Rogers and PD Nibble qualified to attend the 58th National Police Dog Trials being hosted by the Metropolitan Police after qualifying at the regional trials in March 2018.
The National Trials are split into three phases with a track and property search, detaining a suspect without contact and a search for more property.
The final round focuses on discipline, agility and criminal work involving jumps, heel and even more angry suspects.
And it was in this round PC Rogers and PD Nibble topped the table, winning the stage and earning a trophy.
Sergeant Andy Downie said: “We are immensely proud of Matt and Nibble in this achievement.
“It’s been a few years since we’ve been able to compete and it’s great on our return to competing with the nation’s best police dogs we’ve come away with a win and a trophy.”
PC Rogers and PD Nibble finished ninth in the competition overall.
PC Rogers was presented with the trophy at a gala dinner on Sunday (April 22) by the NPCC lead for Police Dogs Chief Constable Rod Hanson.
The event was also attended by Metropolitan Police Commander Atkin and Nottinghamshire Chief Constable Craig Guildford.
