Alan Hardy has confirmed that he has completed the takeover of Notts County and will become the club’s new chairman and owner.

The takeover looked to be all done and dusted before an outstanding loan of £1.5m owed to the Haydn Green trust caused a delay in negotiations.

However Alan Hardy announced on his Twitter account at 12.39pm on Wednesday that the deal has finally been completed.

He also Tweeted that an announcement of who the new Notts County boss is will be made tomorrow (Thursday, January 12).

The local businessman has reportedly already had an influence on the departure of John Sheridan and confirmed on Twitter that he was already interviewing candidates for the head coaching job.

County play their first game under new chairman Alan Hardy on Saturday (January 14) against local rivals Mansfield Town.
