Notts TV shortlisted for 6 RTS awards

Notts TV has been short-listed for six Royal Television Awards including the best factual programme and best news programme.

The short-list was announced today and the nominations include the 6:30 show for the Best News Programme as well as The Noise Floor for Best Factual Programme.

Notts TV’s presenter Frances Finn, has been nominated for Best On Screen Personality and the Best New Talent.

Frances is thrilled to be nominated, she said: “I’ll admit to being a teensy bit pleased about the nominations. There are some talented people in the Midlands, so to be mentioned alongside them is lovely.”

She also added: “And of course, a presenter is only as good as the team she works with!”

James Brindle, the director of Notts TV believes that getting six RTS nominations so early on in the Channel’s life is testament to the dedication and ambition of the team.

“Everyone who works at Notts TV is committed to making the best possible programmes for viewers in Nottingham and beyond.”

He also congratulated Frances and said: “I’ve worked with Frances for eight years now and know how well she connects with the audience.”

“She’s absolutely passionate about Notts, its people and places. Her ability to entertain, tell stories, share experiences and reflect local life shows off her incredible versatility.”

Notts TV has also been nominated for Best Digital Innovation and Best Factual Programme.
