Pedestrians killed in Meden Vale crash were married couple

Two pedestrians who died at the scene of a road crash in Nottinghamshire on Saturday have been identified as a married couple from the local area.

Police say the pair were 66-year-old Sandra and 72-year-old Michael Dangerfield, who lived nearby.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the incident in Netherfield Lane, Meden Vale, at around 1.25pm on Saturday (October 14).

A car had been involved in a collision with Mr and Mrs Dangerfield, who were both pronounced dead at the scene.

A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said: “The East Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit is investigating and enquires are ongoing.

“Detectives are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident but are¬†appealing for any witnesses or anyone who may have dash cam footage to contact them on 101 quoting incident 450 of 14 October.”
