Pedestrians killed in Meden Vale crash were married couple

Two pedestrians who died at the scene of a road crash in Nottinghamshire on Saturday have been identified as a married couple from the local area.

Police say the pair were 66-year-old Sandra and 72-year-old Michael Dangerfield, who lived nearby.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the incident in Netherfield Lane, Meden Vale, at around 1.25pm on Saturday (October 14).

A car had been involved in a collision with Mr and Mrs Dangerfield, who were both pronounced dead at the scene.

A Nottinghamshire Police spokesman said: “The East Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit is investigating and enquires are ongoing.

“Detectives are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident but are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who may have dash cam footage to contact them on 101 quoting incident 450 of 14 October.”
