A 78-year-old car driver has died after being involved in a collision in Gedling.
The pensioner, who was driving a blue Ford Focus GHIA estate car, was travelling along Arnold Lane in the direction of Gedling when he collided with a silver Vauxhall Zafira at the junction with Besecar Avenue.
Both drivers were trapped in their cars and had to be cut free by the fire brigade before being taken to the QMC.
The accident was at 11.36am on Thursday, November 27. The man died in hospital two days later.
Police are now appealing for anybody with any information to come forward by calling police on 101 quoting 255 of 27 November.
The driver of the Vauxhall Zafira, a 53-year-old Nottingham woman, is in hospital with serious injuries.
