Police are appealing for information after two men were injured in a serious collision in the Bulwell area on Friday night. (February 13)

Two men, aged 21 and 33, remain in hospital being treated for serious injuries after the incident.

Officers were called just before 11.15pm following the collision between a Rover ‘Streetwise’ hatchback and a Vauxhall Corsa at the Highbury Road and Cantrell Road junction.

Ambulance and fire crews attended the scene to treat occupants from both vehicles for their injuries who were then all taken to Nottingham’s Queen Medical Centre.

The cordon on the junction where the collision took place has now been lifted after it was closed last night while recovery took place.

A 27-year-old man travelling in the Vauxhall Corsa has since been released from hospital.

Police are urging anyone with information or who may have seen the collision take place to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 982 of February 13.
