Nottingham detectives are appealing for information following a spate of street robberies and attempted robberies with mobile phones being targeted in Lenton.
Two men threatened a man before stealing his iPhone 6S and a small amount of cash in Castle Boulevard, outside the Park Rock One apartments, at about 9.45pm on Tuesday (February 21); the victim wasn’t injured.
The men were described as white and aged in their late teens to early twenties; one of them was wearing a blue hooded top.
They ran off down Castle Boulevard, towards Castle Marina.
Another man managed to escape after being approached by two men who threatened him and demanded his phone on Douglas Road at around 9.45pm on Wednesday (February 22).
One of the men was described as white, in his late 20s to mid-30s, with a balding hair line and wearing a grey hooded top, jeans and trainers with the other wearing tracksuit bottoms and a dark hooded top.
At about 12.30am on Friday (February 24) a man reported he had been chased by three men who he believed intended to rob him as he walked along Lenton Boulevard.
One was described as white, with a heavy build, in his late 20s, wearing grey tracksuit bottoms, a grey hooded top with the hood up, black hair and black beard.
Another was in his 20s, and was wearing a grey tracksuit with the hood up.
The other was Asian, tall, with a black beard and was wearing a dark coat with the hood up and black tracksuit bottoms.
About five minutes later, a man was approached by three men who asked the time before trying to punch him and take his phone in Church Street.
However he managed to evade the attack and run off.
One of the men was described as white, about 6ft-tall, in his mid-20s, wearing a cap, a dark coat and dark tracksuit bottoms.
One of the other men was described as Asian, wearing a baggy hooded top with the hood up.
Four men took a Huawei mobile phone and a bank card from a man in another robbery in Castle Boulevard at around 12.45am on Friday (February 24).
One of the men showed the victim a knife in his waist band as the demand was made but the victim was not hurt.
The man with the knife was described as white, in his 20s, about 5ft 11ins-tall, wearing a dark hooded Puffa jacket, jeans and dark trainers.
The other three were around the same age and height.
Police officers believe the incidents are linked and asks anyone with information to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
