Police begin search after teenager is injured in Arnold collision

Nottinghamshire Police are looking for two men who evaded the scene of a collision which left a 14-year-old boy with serious injuries on Wednesday evening.

The men, travelling in a white Volvo 850, were moving westbound along Oxclose Lane away from Arnold.

The car left the road at its junction with Byron Street at about 7.20pm.

Both men fled the scene, running along Byron Street, after the Volvo collided with traffic lights and the teenage pedestrian.

The vehicle was left abandoned in a nearby garden.

After the collision, the 14-year-old pedestrian was taken to Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham where he is being treated for serious, but not life threatening, injuries.

It is believed that the car was involved in an earlier collision, where a black Peugeot was damaged in Galway Road, Arnold.
