A Beeston town centre road has re-opened after the bomb disposal team carried out controlled explosions on a suspicious package.
Police were called at around 2.10pm on Friday (August 25) to reports of a suspicious package on High Road in Beeston.
Officers called the Joint Services Explosive Ordinance Disposal Engineers to the scene as a ‘precaution’.
The cordon was covering a large area of the road but it has since been lifted.
