UPDATED: House fire which injured West Bridgford woman ‘not suspicious’

Police say a fire which left a woman in a serious condition in hospital is not being treated as suspicious.
It happened at 8:33pm last night at the home on Byron Road, West Bridgford.
Around 15 firefighters attended the scene, with crews from Central, Carlton and West Bridgford all present.
A woman was rescued from inside and immediately treated for smoke inhalation by firefighters before paramedics arrived to take her to hospital.
She remains in a serious but stable condition.
This afternoon police said the exact cause is still not known, but it is not believed to have been started deliberately.

A police cordon is still in place around the property.
The incident was dealt with by 9:44pm.
