Police are investigating a suspected shooting after reports of a disturbance in Top Valley.
Officers were called to Bestwood Park Drive at around 11pm on Saturday (February 10) and found a 25-year-old man badly hurt.
Police say they believe he was injured after being shot and put a cordon around the Duke of St Albans pub, at the junction of Bestwood Park Drive and Bewcastle Road.
The man is said to have suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Police believe it was an isolated incident and appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
