Police release photo of Bestwood man in bid to find out how he died

Police have released a photo of a man who died in Bestwood estate to find out more information as to how he died.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 52-year-old Nicholas Powell.

Officers were called around 7.50pm on Thursday (July 13) to an address in Belconnen Road.

But police previously said it  is “unclear” how he died, and are looking to speak to anyone who saw him in the hours and days before the discovery.

The force has released a CCTV photo of Mr Powell, who appears to be in a shop.

Detective Chief Inspector Hayley Williams, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We’re keeping an open mind as to the circumstances of Mr Powell’s death and our enquiries are ongoing.

“We want to hear from anyone who may seen Mr Powell between noon on Wednesday (July 12) and 8pm on Thursday (July 13).”
