Conservatives make historic gain in Mansfield
Without doubt, the biggest story locally in the general election was in the north of Notts. Mansfield, a proud mining town which stood in unity against Margaret Thatcher in the 80s, a town which has been held by Labour for almost a century, and a town represented by a red Knight of the Realm for three decades, has turned blue.
