Notts TV News – High Court rules Bassetlaw-Sheffield devolution consultation “unlawful” – 22.12.16
Doubt has been cast over plans which could see Bassetlaw become part of a Sheffield-based devolution deal after the High Court ruled the consultation process “unlawful”. The local council had originally been part of a joint Nottinghamshire-Derbyshire deal which collapsed earlier this year, but the court said that questions being asked of people about the new deal were unfair.
