Race assault arrest after Arnold ‘street fight’

Two men have been arrested after police responded to reports of two men fighting in the street in Arnold.

It happened on Front Street at about 1.50pm on Wednesday (Aug 2) and led to NCT buses diverting some services while officers dealt with the incident.

One person suffered minor injuries.

A Notts Police spokesman said: “A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated actual bodily harm and a 59-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray.  Enquiries are ongoing.”
