Residents from the block of flats where a fire broke out in Newark are still not allowed back into their homes.
The fire is now out but Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service are still continuing to work and monitor the issue which crews were originally called to at 12.15pm yesterday.
Notts Fire say they are working with Newark and Sherwood Homes, who own the flats, to get residents back in as soon as possible.
One tenant heard what she said was a ‘small explosion.’
The fire started in a cavity wall and roof voice at Tithe Barn Court, North Gate, Newark.
Crews from Carlton, Mansfield, Retford, London Road and Lincolnshire were sent to tackle the blaze.
Seven people and a dog were led to safety, with no injuries reported; the cause of the fire is still unknown.

Residents affected by the incident are being provided with refreshments locally, and staff from Newark and Sherwood Homes are arranged alternative accommodation for those with nowhere to stay.
