The event returns for three days of music, rides and dragon boat racing at the free festival held at Victoria Embankment.
The festival will feature over 40 live acts at different outdoor stages, amongst delicious hot food and fairground rides and there will truly be something for everyone.
If the kids have ever fancied trying their hands at weather presenting, or crazy over technology. Perhaps Sci-Fi drama Doctor Who is their favourite show on TV? – Well the BBC will have their own stall set up with all three on the offering from 12 noon on both Saturday and Sunday.
The festival would not be complete without the Dragon Boat Challenge which rounds off the festivities on Sunday as local businesses go head to head along the River Trent to raise money for Rainbows Children’s Hospice situated in Loughborough.
Corporate Partnership Fundraiser, Thomas Stanyard, explained how its important for everyone to have fun whilst also raising money to ensure Rainbows can continue to support sick children and their families for many more years to come.
He said: “The last six years has seen us raise just over £60,000 – so it is one of our key fundraising events. It’s fantastic for us in terms of raising awareness for the hospice over in Nottinghamshire.”
It all starts from Friday 31st July at 6:30pm until Sunday 2nd August.
