Romanian children from Nottingham ask London police for a lift home

Three Romanian children from Nottingham walked into a London police station in the early hours of the morning asking for a taxi home and a McDonalds.

The youngsters, 12, 14 and 17, turned up to the station in Bishopsgate at around 3am on Wednesday, March 25.

The children, who had no money or ID, asked for a McDonalds and a lift back up to Nottingham but officers instead bought them sandwiches from a nearby petrol station.

After contacting social services, the police also called the children’s parents who picked them up.

It is unsure how the children managed to make the journey to the capital unnoticed.

They were at no point suspected of any crimes.
