Police in Durham will continue their search for a 19-year-old student from Nottingham who has been reported as missing.
Euan Coulthard, a law student at St Mary’s College, has not been since the early hours of Thurday morning after going on a night out with friends.
In a Facebook post, Durham Constabulary thanked the efforts of the Teesdale and Weardale search and mountain rescue team as they spent Thursday evening looking for the teenager.
The search has been resumed on Friday morning.
Friends were concerned about his whereabouts after Euan failed to respond to a number of texts and Facebook messages from friends.
Euan left his home to attend a 21st birthday celebration meal at the Spaghettata restaurant in Saddler Street.
He was last seen leaving the Loveshack nightclub alone, in the Walkergate area of Durham, just after midnight.
He is described as 5’9″ tall and of average build with light brown hair, which is short on the sides and longer on top.
The student was last seen wearing a denim jacket, a beige patterned shirt and black skinny jeans.
Inspector Dave Coxon, of Durham Constabulary, said: “We have serious concerns for Euan’s welfare as there has been no trace of him since the early hours of Thursday morning. He hasn’t responded to any attempts to contact him and his phone has not been traced.”
Anyone with information is being urged to contact 101 immediately.
Meanwhile, hundreds of people have shown their support in the search for Euan – with users sharing news of his disappearance on social media and messages flooding in on the Durham Constabulary Facebook page.
