Mansfield Town have sights set on promotion

The club will announce their new manager tomorrow afternoon.
Striker Danny Rose has his sights set firmly on promotion this season as Mansfield Town’s Sky Bet League 2 campaign gets underway.
The Stags play at Newport County this weekend and the 22 year old striker believes Mansfield should be targeting promotion.
He won promotion from League Two with Bury in 2014/15 and “hopes he can replicate his former club’s success at the One Call Stadium” this season.
The striker scored his first goal for the club in a home win against Bolton in a preseason friendly.
Manager Adam Murray has moved quickly in the transfer market to replace the players who have left and to strengthen in depth.
He’s one of the best left sided defenders
Fan favourite Ryan Tafazolli departed for Peterborough United after making 109 appearances for the Stags scoring eight goals.
Murray replaced the centre back with George Taft who has previous experience in promotion after winning League Two with old team Burton Albion.
The manager has nothing but praise for George after claiming that he is “potentially one of the best left sided defenders around.”

Murray has claimed that the team has much more organisation and with players pushing for promotion, the season seems promising.
Mansfield played against Hull City and Bolton Wanderers in pre-season friendlies to prepare for the new campaign.
Supporters have said that they are feeling positive and hopeful for what the season may bring after promising performances in preseason.
