Second man arrested in connection with fatal stabbing of 17-year-old

Ezekiel Clarke, 17, was stabbed to death on Churchfield Lane, Radford, on February 19.

A second man has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 17-year-old boy in Radford.

The 18-year-old was detained on suspicion of murder following the death of Ezekiel Clarke on Wednesday night (February 19).

Ezekiel, 17, died shortly after police and ambulance crews were called to Churchfield Lane, Radford at around 7.10pm on Wednesday to reports a boy had been stabbed.

A 19-year-old man also previously arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the investigation is still in police custody (February 21).

On Friday Detective Inspector Rich Monk of Notts Police said: “This is an incredibly difficult time for Ezekiel’s family and our thoughts and condolences are with them during this tragic time.

“A cordon was set up in Churchfield Lane while we made our initial inquiries, this has now been lifted and the road is reopened.

“A 19-year-old man remains in custody in connection with the incident, however, we are still appealing for anyone who may have seen what happened to Ezekiel to come forward and share anything they know with us.”
