Sherwood Forest visitor centre and Rufford Abbey and Park will close to all visitors tomorrow as Storm Doris is expected to hit Nottinghamshire.
This comes after weather forecasters issued an amber weather warning for Notts as the storm is expected to bring winds of up to 80mph tomorrow.
The Met Office issued the warning for gusts of 70-80 mph as well as heavy rain and a possibility of snow.
The bad weather isn’t expected to last long, but could cause serious disruption.

A Met Office spokesman said: “While the strongest winds look to be only short-lived, damage to structures, interruptions to power supplies and widespread disruption to travel networks are likely, with a danger of injury from flying debris.
“Heavy rain is also likely through Thursday as well as some snow over high ground as the system clears eastwards. These may prove additional hazards.”
The Met Office is unsure exactly when the storm will hit the county, but it will affect travel services, particularly on bridges, and it’s possible it will cause damage to buildings.
An Amber warning is the second most serious alert issued by the agency, meaning people should ‘be prepared’ for significant travel disruption and the risk of injury and damage to property.
The spokesman added: “The exact timing and track of this system remain uncertain but there is potential for a short-lived core of very strong winds to develop.
“While some disruption is expected outside of this stronger swathe of winds, the amber area looks most likely to see more significant disruption.”
