Should you take antibiotics?

Nottingham GP Ian Campbell has rejected the suggestion that family doctors should check up on their colleagues to make sure they’re not prescribing too many antibiotics.

The NHS has recommended the move to try to solve the growing problem of some infections becoming resistant to the drugs.

It says half of antibiotic prescriptions are inappropriate because patients put pressure on doctors.
