Snow horror: Nottinghamshire schools forced to close in white out

Heavy snow and blizzard-like conditions have caused widespread chaos across Nottinghamshire, forcing school across the county to shut their doors.

Gritting crews from Nottinghamshire County Council have been out overnight and this morning in an attempt to keep people on the move as snow horror sweeps the county

However, despite the authority’s best efforts, a number of schools are inaccessible.

The following five schools have been closed:

Brierley Forest Primary and Nursery School

Cuckney C of E Primary School

Eastlands Junior School

John Davies Primary and Nursery School

Netherfield Infant and Nursery School
