A Notts tattoo artist ended up swamped with bookings after offering discount Forest tattoos if the reds survived their relegation battle.
Forest secured their Championship status by beating Ipswich 3-0 at the City Ground on Sunday which kept the Reds in the division by securing a better goal difference of two over Blackburn, despite the Rovers winning 3-1 away at Brentford.
Birmingham City were the other team in the relegation fight but secured their status by winning 1-0 at Bristol City.
Before the result Pavilion Road Tattoo Studio, close to the City Ground, offered the Forest badge designs for £20 if the Reds escaped the drop.
Tattooist Lou Morales, originally from Chile, is now only coping with demand by doing tattoos back-to-back after taking almost 20 bookings since Sunday.
He said: “On the first day alone [after the result] we had 14 bookings and I’m doing a lot of extra hours just to squeeze everyone in, this is a celebration that Forest avoided being relegated.
“Since Sunday we have seen grown men crying and screaming with sheer joy – the level of support Forest have is amazing.
“People have the tattoo as a literal badge of honour, these people are fanatics and its something people will carry with pride.
“We were taken aback by just how many fans wanted the £20. Forest certainly have some very loyal fans so it has been nice to reward them for their support.
“It’s been a nail-biting season but it’s great to see some of the passion I am used to from South America in the City Ground.”
