The famous Emett Clock is returning to Nottingham

The water-powered clock designed by Rowland Emett was removed from Nottingham for restoration, but is set to return to the Victoria Centre.

The Emett Clock, made in 1973, was removed from the shopping centre in the city last year and later sent to Birmingham Museum for restoration.

After people in Nottingham worried that the clock was gone for good, the owners of the Victoria Centre have been true to their word that it will return.

The water-powered musical clock will be put back on display in the shopping centre in a few weeks time.

The clocks official name is the Aqua Horological Tintinnabulator and the piece has been in Nottingham’s Victoria Centre for over 40 years.

The designer, Rowland Emett was also known for building different pieces for the famous film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
