Three arrested as part of modern slavery investigation

Three people have been arrested on suspicion of human trafficking and forced labour in Nottinghamshire.

Officers carried out a warrant at a house on Vernon Road in Old Basford on Thursday (April 26).

Two men aged 20 and 29 and a 33-year-old woman are being interviewed in connection with the offences, reported to have been committed between October 8 and November 10 of 2017.

Four people previously identified as possible victims of modern slavery in relation to the investigation have been referred to external agencies for safeguarding.
