Three arrested after shots fired at car in Old Basford on Boxing Day

Three people have been arrested after shots were reportedly fired at a car which was involved in a crash in Old Basford on Boxing Day.

Nottinghamshire Police say they were called to reports that a car had crashed in Arnold Road at around 7.05pm yesterday (December 26).

There were also reports that a gun was fired at the vehicle shortly before or after the crash.

Two men, aged 19 and 36, and a 15-year-old boy were arrested a short time later, officers said.

No further information has been released but Arnold Road remains closed from the junction with Hucknall road to the junction with Britannia Avenue.

A Notts Police spokesman said: “Investigations continue and officers are appealing to anyone with any information that could help, please contact us on 101 quoting incident 518 of 26 December.”
