A small family of travellers who set up camp on playing fields in Radcliffe-on-Trent have left less than two days after setting up camp.
Travellers gained access to the playing fields of the Radcliffe-on-Trent Sports Association on Saturday night at around 10pm.
Chairman of 4 Rec, the management company responsible for the Bingham Road playing fields, Frank Seyfert said the family left earlier today (Monday July 10).
He said: “There was only one family with three or four caravans and they left there this morning.
“We were aware about it at around 10.30pm on Saturday and we had a chat with them but they have since left.
“They were not disruptive at all – they left rubbish in black bin bags by the public bins ready for collection.
“They were no trouble at all – they just said they stopped while they were passing through on their way to Newark.”
