Two men were arrested by Nottinghamshire Police after an alleged stabbing and assault in Sneinton on Wednesday.
The incident took place at around 4pm at Dale Street, just off Sneinton Dale.
Both men were arrested on suspicion of affray.
The victim, whose identity is not known, has been released from hospital after sustaining minor injuries.
A police cordon has been placed by the address and at nearby street, Belvoir Hill.
Officers and a forensics team were still investigating the area on Wednesday evening.
