Two men were seriously hurt in separate incidents involving a fight in a pub and a street attack in Nottingham city centre at the weekend.

In the first incident a man was left with multiple facial injuries after a group of people knocked him to the ground and stamped on his head on Milton Street.

It happened at about 10.30pm on Saturday night (September 23) and the man was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre.

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of affray in connection with the incident.

In the second incident, in the early hours of Sunday, a man was stabbed in the leg in what police said was a ‘large-scale’ fight in a pub.

It happened at around 4.10am at the Gatehouse on Tollhouse Hill. The victim was also taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre for treatment.

Anyone who saw what happened or has any information, is asked to call Notts Police on 101 and give the reference number 906 of September 23 for the Milton Street incident, and number 162 of September 24 for the Tollhouse Hill incident.
