Jess Clarke and Amy Turner of Notts County Ladies have been short listed in the end of season Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) awards.
England forward Clarke is a contender for the accolade after a prolific season for County which saw her net 15 goals in 22 appearances.
Although spending the most part of her career as a winger, a long-term injury to team-mate Ellen White gave Clarke the chance to operate at the spearhead of Notts County’s attack – where she made an immediate impression.
The 25-year-old was also nominated for the FA Women’s Super League Players’ Player award last November, but lost out to Chelsea’s Ji So-Yun.
