A 16-year-old boy has been died after he was rushed to hospital following an incident at Colwick Park Lake.
Nottinghamshire Police were called to reports a boy had gone into the water off River Road and not resurfaced at around 2.05pm this afternoon (Wednesday July 4).
A major search operation was quickly launched together with fire, ambulance crews, helicopter and the underwater dive team and at around 3.20pm the teenager was recovered from the water.
He was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre by ambulance but was pronounced dead just after 4pm.
