Video: Amazing skills as British Juggling Convention comes to Nottingham

Hundreds of the country’s best jugglers have descended on Nottingham for a national event.

The British Juggling Convention is running at Harvey Hadden Sports Village, Bilborough, until Thursday (April 13).

The event is traditionally held at a different location during the Easter holidays every year and is organised by a team of volunteers.

Nottingham was chosen as the 2017 venue after Perth, Scotland, hosted last year’s event.

“I think juggling as a whole is a form of play for people, is almost like adults get to be children again for a little bit,” said Ben Nichol, organiser of the event.

“The juggling world is a huge family – festivals like this are a chance for people to see people they’ve not seen in a long time. It is like a family.”

Highlights include a ‘fight’ between jugglers – where opponents try to ensure they put each other off while keeping their own juggling clubs in the air.
