A fire at a newly refurbished pub in the city centre has now been put out after causing travel disruption through Nottingham.
A fire broke out in the first floor kitchen of The Horn in Hand pub on Goldsmith Street with Notts Fire and Rescue called at 10.45am this morning (Monday April 30) to extinguish it.

The fire caused travel delays through Nottingham city with trams blocked between Wilkinson Street and Old Market Square while the fire was attended to.
NET began running a full service again at around 12.30pm this afternoon and Notts Fire and Rescue Tweeted just after 1.35pm to say the fire was put out.

Speaking while the fire was tackled earlier today, station manager Chris Emmott said: “I believe at it stands there were two people in the property who noticed the fire and evacuated themselves.
“They then called the fire service so we have teams going in.”
