Watch: Notts care home installs pub so residents can have an old-style drink

A Nottinghamshire care home has turned one of its rooms into an old-style pub to make residents feel more comfortable.

Stoke House Care Home, on Stoke Lane, Gedling, has named the new bar The Carer’s Arms after some residents said they missed going out for a drink.

It includes authentic pub tables, a dartboard, and beers, wines and spirits.

Lousie Nichol, the home’s activities co-ordinator, set it up with advice and help from residents and other staff.
