Watch: Notts teachers and academics turn to comedy to tackle stereotypes

A group of Nottinghamshire teachers and academics are swapping classrooms for a stage as they give stand up comedy a go.

Bright Club is a comedy night which invites education professionals to turn their topics of study into laughs.

The first local event appeared at Rough Trade, on Broad Street, Nottingham on Thursday (February 8).

The project started in 2009 to try to better connect academics and their work with the general public. It has since spread all over the UK and gigs are also being held in Europe.
