More people are visiting the Attenborough Nature Centre thanks to the reserve being home to rare Pokemon.

Pokemon Go players have been flocking from all over to catch the rare fictional monsters in the globally popular game at the centre.

Pokemon Go is an augmented reality game where players can walk around with their smart phones and catch virtual monsters called Pokemon which appear in the real world.

It’s not just new people coming here

Attenborough Nature Centre manager Louise Buckley said: “People have been reconnecting with this reserve thanks to Pokemon.

“I’ve chatted with quite a few of the young people who have come to the reserve to catch Pokemon and it’s a fascinating phenomenon!

“It’s not just new people coming but it’s also reminding people to come back here.”
