Notts County Sailing Club in Hoveringham has been named Britain’s best for 2018.
The group, established in 1961, won the Royal Yachting Association national Club of the Year title at a ceremony earlier this month.
After a strategy to rejuvenate the club, more than £250,000 including grants was spent on expanding and upgrading the clubhouse and facilities.
Members updated changing rooms, expanded the boat park and renovated the clubhouse.
