Youths on moped wanted over attempted carjacking in Aspley

Three youths riding a moped attempted to carry out a carjacking in Aspley in the early hours of Saturday.

Police say the three attackers got off the moped at the junction of Western Boulevard and Aspley Lane at around 5.20am.

They surrounded a man’s car and began opening the doors and threatening the victim while demanding the keys.

The victim managed to fend them off before the three men got back on the moped and rode away.

Police say they were white, aged 17-18 and wearing dark clothing. The moped was last seen driving toward the A610 on Western Boulevard.
