A body has been found on a tram footbridge in Basford

Nottinghamshire Police have confirmed that a man believed to be in his 40s was found dead on a tram footbridge in Basford.
Officers were called to the scene at 5:40am after the body was found on Vernon Road.
Police are not treating the circumstances around his death as suspicious.
The man was believed to be in his 40s.
The area was cordoned off throughout the morning causing tram delays to local commuters.
Any passengers on the tram were told to get off at the David Lane stop instead.
The NET Tram website said: “Whole network affected – Due to a police incident the north bound platform at Basford and the pedestrian bridge at Basford have been closed.”
