About Notts TV
Since 2014, Notts TV has been the local TV channel for the City and County – dedicated to ‘Championing Notts’. Locally owned, our programming is about celebrating what’s great about our area – while not being afraid to face its problems and hold authority to account.
We broadcast a range of programmes 24 hours a day – from local news to history; sport to music. Find out what’s happening with our flagship news and chat show Ey Up Notts, keep up with Forest, County and Stags on Team Talk; go behind the scenes of great productions with Notts on Stage; and immerse yourself in our history in Rediscovering Notts. On Notts TV you’ll always see faces you know and sights you recognise.
You can see us on Freeview channel 7, Virgin 159 and see programmes on-demand at nottstv.com.
Notts TV is an independent broadcaster, not connected to any larger national grouping. It is owned by Nottingham Trent University. With award-winning content and 44% of 16+ population having watched the channel, we believe that Notts TV is one of the best examples of local TV in the UK.
The channel is funded by contributions from NTU and a rich variety of top Nottinghamshire companies who value being part of the channel and see it is an excellent way to promote their activities.
The majority of Notts TV programmes are produced in-house from our studios at the Antenna Media Centre, part of the Confetti Media Group. In addition, a full-time team of experienced journalists, producers and technical staff work from our Nottingham city centre newsroom.
The channel also runs innovative industry training experiences for students working towards academic qualifications in TV, film, the wider media, and related sectors. At Sky, the BBC, commercial radio and leading digital and PR organisations, you’ll meet individuals who made their first steps to their media career through NTU and the Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies – and making programmes for Notts TV.

Notts TV is your TV channel – as local to Nottingham as the expression mi’duck, as illustrated proudly by our Notts TV blue duck. We always welcome ideas and comments.
Thanks for watching – and for your support.
