Appeal after crash between horse trap and vehicles in Newark

A police appeal has been launched after a crash involving several vehicles and a horse trap in Newark.

The incident happened on Saturday, July 12 just after 7pm around Beacon Hill Road, with multiple vehicles damaged as a result.

Nottinghamshire Police say the incident happened in a busy area and caused a disturbance to the wider community.

Now the force have released an image of a man they want to identify as part of their investigations.

PC Poppy Macky said: “We would also like to ask anyone who saw the collision or who has any information that could help to contact us as soon as possible.

“We’d be keen to hear from people driving in the area who may have dash-cam footage.”

Anyone with information or dashcam footage can call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident 608 of July 12, 2025.
