80s girl group Bananarama have announced they will play in Nottingham as part of their first ever tour with all three original members.
Siobhan Fahey, Sara Dallin and Keren Woodward will perform at Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall on November 24, marking the first time the trio have played together in 29 years.
Their hits including Venus, Cruel Summer, Love in the First Degree and Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye.
Since their final performance as a trio in 1988, Sara and Keren have continued Bananarama as a duo, releasing six studio albums and touring worldwide with their band.
Siobhan went on to have hit singles and albums around the world as part of Shakespeare’s Sister before becoming a solo artist but is now back with Bananarama.
Sara said: “Keren and I have toured as a duo for years but we never toured or played live with Siobhan.
“We’ve been talking about this idea for a while and now the moment has finally arrived it’s incredibly exciting.
“Lots of fans have often asked ‘please just do one tour with Siobhan’.”
The group made it into the Guinness Book Of Records as the most successful female band of all time due to having more hit singles than any other girl group ever.
To date they have had 30 chart hits and a combined record sales of 40 million.
Siobhan said: “These were my formative years – I never thought it would happen again.
“It’s like going back down the road to find a piece of myself that I left back then.
“The older I get, the more I realise it was pretty magical.”
Tickets go on sale from 9am on Wednesday April 26 and are priced from £39.50.
