Body found in River Trent confirmed as missing Curtis Nuttall

The body of a man found in the River Trent has been formally identified as missing teenager Curtis Nuttall.

The discovery was made by officers searching Nether Lock, Newark, last Tuesday, October 27.

Curtis, 18, was last seen leaving Atrium nightclub in Newark at 12.30am on Friday, October 16.

Notts Police announced they have confirmed the identity and say a file has been passed to the coroner, who is expected to hold an inquest into the circumstances of the death.

A police spokesman said: “Curtis’s family have been informed and have asked for privacy at this time.”
